I get the chance periodically to talk to my friend Andy, who works for the Myers family of L. Myers Company, the hospitality linens company. It is interesting to hear about his travels to China.
This is the Natoma Street alley side of their building, which fronts on Howard Street, with an address of 658 Howard.
This is their actual office building, which is next door, but on Natoma Street only. The other building is the one of the few on this block of Natoma that extends through to Howard Street. I love both buildings. I would love to work for them, particularly so I could hang out with Andy, and so I could work in these buildings and keep watch on 140 New Montgomery.

One door up on Howard Street are two buildings that will soon be demolished to make way for the expansion of the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. The white building is the old Heald College. This building was erected right after the earthquake and fire destroyed everything here in 1906. The red building is Fire Station # 1, the busiest firehouse in the city. It will be relocated to a new place on Folsom Street. SFMOMA is building this new firehouse for them.
